Obviously some of these things have been planned for a long time, but[i]if[/i] mideast terrorists are behind all this could the recent Israeli attacks have been the straw that broke the camel's back?

No.  This had to be in planning for some time.  It is also a pyrrhic victory, and we will now demonstrate how they will lose the war.  We are not as powerless as it may seem at the momement.  This obscene event will etch itself into the minds of all Americans, and there is a silver lining in the darkest of clouds.  Perhaps we will rescind the executive order prohibiting assassinations of foreign leaders for starters.
