If, in fact, we are talking about a jihad here, how do you punish someone who wants to die for his/her religious beliefs? This is not like when Patton said you win a war by making some other poor son of a bitch die for his country. If I go to war, I try not to die. They are glad to, much like the Kamikaze. What say ye?

Edited to add that religious/secular motives are irrelevant - this type of crime demands a sufficient response regardless.

I think it should be very slowly, very painful, and documented for the rest of the terrorist world to see.

Send them to meet their maker. I have no problem with the delivery of ordnance right smack dab in the middle of the dance party going on right now in Palestine. Those youngsters dancing a jig for the cameras will eventually grow up to be bomb deliverers and such anyway. Why not pull a pre-emptive strike?

I've heard that a favorite method was to have the accused eat a rope and when it came out the other end of the digestive track it was pulled between two horses. Imagine 30 or so feet of rope being pulled tight. I think it originated with the Chinese or Monguls.

This is a terrorist attack. A major attack. We Americans are outraged and demand retaliation for this act. But, these (things, animals, monsters) do not use conventional methods that are associated with war. They have supporters who denouce them, so attacking 'hideouts' in countries would be well....... politically difficult. Their bases are in the middle of 'civilan' areas (ie an appartment on the first floor of a building full of kids thing).

Getting back at them will require using unconventinal mean. Maybe a SEAL team could work, but we have to take them out one by one. Sending in the 'fleet' may work, but they'll have too much notice to run. It has to be more covert, like the things the CIA do (if they still have their touch).

If this is war, then there are no trials. Target their 'generals' (ie money people and planners). But we must get them all.... or we'll be seeing more of their handy work.

They tried once to destroy the Wold Trade Center, but this time they finished the job.... unfortunatly.

I don't know if I have the courage to do it because of the environment that I was raised. But I would:
Torture these bastards slowly. Cut their body
parts piece by piece. Let them FEEL the pain and the suffering until they die. When they are about to die, do some blood transfusion so they can stay alive, and then torture them some more.
