What is the advantage of a 2 stage trigger?
My Bushie has the standard trigger, one pull weight. I don't know what it is exactly, but I like it. Just like the single weight pull of my 1911's.

A good two stage can give you an advantage
(short,light second stage)
in offhand shooting.

In CMP service rifle competition, the trigger must be at least 4.5 lbs pull. A 2-stage is a must, because most of the weight can be set on the first stage take-up, with an extremely crisp 1 pound final stage. It will pick up 4.5 lbs, but feels like a 1 lb.

For varmint or "tactical" apps, it is strictly user preference. I love 2-stages on my CMP legal ARS, but I have light single-stages on my bolt guns and hunting rifles. YMMV

fixed typos.
