makes more sense to just goto some east european nation and buy one for 100 bucks and hide it in your bum and fly back to the states,
then to spend 45000

Ouch!

Trust me, if you do that, you'll have a lot of other big things shoved in your bum for the next 10 years...

HAHAHA, ya, still though, smuggling one in the country and then registering it, would prolly be easier than spending the price of a mercedes

Guys, sit down, so you don´t hurt yourself when you fall down.

The last PKMs i saw in some adds here, complete with a shit load of belts, accessories and a tripod. They were about 4000 FIM, one USD is about 7 FIM, count it yourselves.

Under the US laws on NFA firearms, you can't do that.

HKocher, didn't you mean $4,500?

$45,000 for a PKM has GOT to be a typo!

According to the ad, it might be the ONLY fully transferable PKM in the country.  I've never seen one for sale, so I don't doubt that there are few around.

If it was a post-dealer sample, it would be a heck of a lot less, but as a pre-86 that is transferable to civies (local NFA rules applying), they could ask pretty much whatever they want for it.

Sorry, been a long day, and I'm pissed off enough with my country's gun laws without someone reminding me about it.

Let me put it this way, if I didn't know you better, your post would have seemed like gloating...

Anyway, peace buddy, sorry I was snippy.[;)]

Just stuck my head up my bum. It needs some cleaning out, but even still I don't think I can fit it in there. Receiver and stock maybe but barrel assy. could be tricky sitting down.

Ok, see my post above about going to jail and getting butt-raped.

Besides, I think when you whip out a PKM at the range, someone will start asking questions...

According to the Constitution of the United States Amendment 2,  I am fully justified in owning such a weapon.

Maybe someday, the Constitution will finally be followed.
