I played TacOps a few months ago (last time I played) and since it came out for UnrealTourny. It was ok, but the movements and gameplay were very weak IMHO.

Quake 3 no longer needs a CDKEY to play (they opened it to the public) so see if you can borrow a CD to install from or burn... This is what I've been TOLD, so it could have just been a bug they've missed, although the source is pretty reliable. I own the game and have since it came out, just WAITING for quality mods to hit the ground running.

I don't have TacOps or Unreal installed anymore and have found my gaming love. I also heard that the new CS 1.3 release is much more like the older beta5's and much better to play. Personally I will do without the crappy support from Sierra/Valve and cheaters.

As a sidenote, I used to run a CS clan for a while and am bringing them back into the fold for Q3-UT, since we need a server I will be picking one up on a seperate connection (hosted on an OC3 in OHIO) and putting the AR15.Com URL in the name so everyone can find it and maybe generate a little more publicity!!!

The name will be something akin to:
-[DW]- Utter Chaos - AR15.Com Sponsored

It's gonna cut into my costs, but since the guy is a friend I'll be paying the hosting fees for a server, but getting UNLIMITED BW for it. (Should be nice and FAST!) Anyone who wants to kick in a few bucks to help me pay for it is obviously WELCOME to do so! [=D]

YES, Q3 doesn't need a key anymore for online play.

Urban Terror blows CS away playability wise, although I hear CS 1.3 is much much better. (Still cheaters all over though and crap support from valve.) This is still beta 2 of UrbanTerror so the models (skins) and weapons will grow and improve just as they did in CS. Even now the selection isn't bad at all and I am quite fond of several of the weapons. (Good round choices I think...)

It's a VERY SMOOTH game to play. Keep in mind too that Q3 Engine is how ID makes their money, so they will make it a POINT to fix the holes in their code... valve is working on NEW games which is their priority, so they'll ignore the holes while they use it as a beta for their new stuff. (i.e. the new integrated voice crap...)

Frank why ya hangin with those ROS guys! Come join the AR team with JLA and I and have some serious ass kicking fun! I was talking too much the other night, I usually rip things up. To me it's the enjoyment that matters, not really my score... I could go 10-20 and still have fun with kewl people on a server, or go 40-2 and have a crappy time because of morons.
