Seriously, it's probably so they can be seen easier through smoke or whatever. If they start slapping UN emblems on them, then it'll be time to get in some practice at the range. [:)]

I have noticed that the ATF does alot of arson investigations now....
Just where does that fit into Alcohol, Tobacco, oe Firearms? |
