Cut them down.  Dig around them and recut them below ground level.  Bury and deny everything.  If any shoots come up, hit them with 2-4-D.

Hammer a copper nail into it. The tree will die from poisoning, should take 6 to 12 months, depending on size. This will kill the root system so it won't resprout, too.

You can't.  They are sort of like the floral undead, they just keep coming back. I wasn't successful until I roto-tilled the area twice and pulled up the bigger roots.

I learned the hard way. Burned one out every year for three years straight, damn thing just would not die. Read about the copper nail. Chopped it back down to a small stump, hammered in nail, it never grew again.

Drill a 1" hole at 45 degrees down, and pack it with rocksalt in the fall, kills the whole root system, asphalt works too.

I've  heard that large amounts of salt will kill most vegitation.

Been there, Tried the products out there.  Tried the shovel method.  3 years worth of trying to kill it.

Then had a brainstorm and used some antifreeze.   Sucker was dead within a week.

Yeah. But he just wants to kill the mulberry tree, not the soil. Too much rocksalt will keep you from growing anything there for a couple years.

What the fucks wrong with you people? Aint a better (food) pie out there than mulberry pie.
And shade, sitting in the shade of a mulberry tree on a 100 degree day is like sitting in the freezer.
You people from up north sure have some funny  notions.
Kill a mulberry tree - yall are poopy heads.

Agreed. I love mine. I sit under my tree on a hot day after mowing the lawn with a tall glass of sweet tea and snack on the mullberries. Ain't nothin' better.
