I went dove hunting yesterday and got my limit. It was a very hot and humid day though.

Went groundhog hunting on Sunday morning.  My buddy and I each got one.  Unfortunately that is all we had time for because we had a bunch of other stuff to do that day but it was damn fun nonetheless.

Yup. Shot a goose on Saturday. I could have limited out, but I didn't want to pluck geese for the next 3 days.

Never been hunting, but I would
like to go. Arizona is a good
place for hunting.

Walked over 10 miles on  Monday trying to bag a Sandhill Crane, man are those smart birds!!  I did find a calf moose that someone had poached, pretty sad.

Tried out a new dam for dove, last time I'll go there, only got 2.

idaho-ar15, what do you do w/ a sandhills crane after you shoot it? was researching laws recently and saw wyoming has a season for them and was wondering if they are edible or what?

I went dove hunting in south Texas. Got A few, I didn't want to spend the day plucking either.  I nailed a few Jack rabbits and cotton tails with my buck mark 22.  That pistol has  got to be the most accurate one i've ever shot; incredible. But yes i went hunting/shooting.

bbauman, we call Sandhill Crane "ribeye in the sky" they are great eating. Here in Idaho only 100 permits are awarded on the draw system. Only 55 aplicants applied. They are pretty tuff to hunt, a boat makes it a little easier though. This year being a low water year the birds where very hard to get close too, we ended up walking through head high grass hoping not to get crushed by an enraged moose!!!

The limit here in central TX is 12 doves. I had fun got my limit and got stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out by a 4x4 dually with a 454. It was a bad ass truck.

Went goose hunting this afternoon.  Saw around 1,000 geese - most of them 200 yards up and half a mile away, moving at about 30 mph.

Fired one shot at a string of geese about 120 yards directly above us...

missed.

Going back for seconds tomorrow!

I went squirrel hunting today but the wind was blowing pretty hard and they were not moving well.  Got a couple anyway.  Had a great time, though.
