It's just Mossad screwing up again badly. Socialist countries tend toward a lack of transparency, and this encourages a lack of peer review. Mossad is in serious need of this and they have been for a while.

Given how much money we give these assholes it sure would be nice if they didn't present the largest counterintel problem after the Red Chinese.

Toys, phones, and inexpensive jewelry. I remember the case pretty well. Didn't get too much press.

In understand the need to soft pedal stuff with allies -- the French use their intel services in foreign business ALL THE TIME in the US and it is not cool -- but the Israelis are already getting almost everything they want. WTF? Like I said, Mossad has been on autopilot for years.
