Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Silencer for the FNC or AR15?

Does anyone know if there is a silencer for the FNC?  Does it have the same threads as the AR15?  I would like to use it on both rifles.  Any suggestions?

In Utah they are...  They sure are a lot of fun.  On an M16, they take nearly all the muzzle rise out of it and suppress the noise very well.  I was hoping the two rifles had the same threads...

Anyone?

Threads on pre-ban ARs of all types in .223

1/2" x 28 tpi

Threads on all FNCs I've seen, handled, and refinished.

9/16" x 24 tpi Left Hand, just like most metric FALs.

Bryan -

Different threads may be standard, but you could get an AR/M16 barrel and have it rethreaded the same as the FNC.
