Woo-Hoo!

I just got a whole bunch of AK-74 stripper clips to sell, and a customer who got some from me online mentioned that the work well for 5.56 AK's so I started wondering of they would work for an AR.

The ruskie stripper clip guide fit kinda loose, but I got the rounds in. Then I squeezed the guide together with pliers and made it fit tighter and viola.... 15 round AR strippers!

I have tried it now with a 20 and 30 round USGI mag and it works... it's not quite as fast and smooth as the 10 round ones but you still get the mag loaded faster because you are using one less stripper.

So was this already common knowledge or have I discovered something cool?

Great.

Now I gotta destrip 500 conventional clips and transfer all that ammo to the new, tactical strippers.

How available are these and how do they compare in price to the mountain I have in the garage?

Not true. Instead of destripping the 500 conventional ones, BUY MORE AMMO for the new ones.

I actually use some of my AR stippers for my M1 Carbine. I have been using them for a few years. I can't use them to reload the mags directly but it's I have gotten pretty good and reloading them with the mag still in the rifle and they work OK.
I wouldn't count on them for a "tacticle" reload situation but then again, I really don't think I would find myself in such a situation anymore.
