The gruop land purchase idea got me thinking, why doesn't someone open a "firearms resort" type place?

Think about it, how many of us would love to spend a few days at a place that had a shoot house, pop up range range out to 500m, long range out to 1500, and regular paper ranges from 10 feet to 300 meters.

Toss in a bed and breakfast in a big old farmhouse, rental cabins, and a campground, and I bet you would get all the people you could handle. Put a small gunsmith and ammo shop in, add a small restraunt/bar for after hours.....

You could also host classes, but lots of places currently do that and have places you can stay. But I know of no place where you can rent a couple days of range time in a setting that has all that. Lots of folks want acces to facilities such as that without having to take the high $$ classes.

Doesn't the NRA operate Whittington something-or-other out west somewhere?  Very close to your description.

Can you pay a fee and just shoot on whatever ranges you want there, or do you have to take the classes?
