I want to first apologize for asking something I already read somewheres.  It was mentioned before that a Sears toolbox 26" (I think) was suggested.  What are examples of discreet carbine carrying and rifle carrying cases that good folks like yourself like to use so you do not advertise "Hey World, I am carrying a gun"!
Your input is appreciated.

If it looks like a rifle case then it would not be discreet.  I am not sure what the rifle case you mentioned looks like.  Ralph

A leather guitar gig bag adorned with band stickers. Never even raises an eyebrow. And they're a lot cheaper than a rifle case. decent padding too and pockets on the outside a plus. Mine has shoulder straps like a backpack as well as a regular carry handle.KacesII is the manufacturer. $28 at Guitar center.

I saw a AK in a violin case once also, so I made my own, mine is better than the one that I saw.
I can't seem to find ANY hard tennis cases.

I carry my 7.5" barreled AR in a Laptop PC case. I can go anywhere(except where there are x-ray machine) and people just think I have a computer.

Just watched 3000 Miles To Graceland last night.  There was an Elvis convention in Vegas, and those guys were all decked out amongst the hundreds of Elvis impersonators in town.  They walked right through the front door of the casino with their guitar cases, and managed to blast their way out with $3.2 million.  Things went sour afterwards.  It was a good flick, and you may get some ideas about alternative casing from it. Lots of good gun action.

You can get a “technical” backpack (their a little bigger than a standard school backpack like most kids wear).  Baseball/hockey bags, brown cardboard boxes, large shopping bags etc. Sit at the local food court or park and watch the people walk by and look at what there carrying.  Try to spot “potential rifle carriers”.
