Finally got my preban Colt, and need to remove the FS. SOB is on there TIGHT. What is Best tool for removing it, and (probably a really stupid question but bear with me) Are they really supposed to be THIS !$@! tight?

Mine was on really tight also. I couldn't break it loose.  Here is what I did. I took a propane torch and heated up the threaded area a little bit all around the barrel and flash hider. Not a whole lot, just enough to warm it up real good. Then I took a wrench and broke it loose. It worked for me. Good Luck!

Why?
Well, Crow, 1.) Just because I can and 2.) I have a Vortex I want to put on the gun and that's a bit difficult with that birdcage in the way, Doncha think?

first open the little door.
next remove the bird.
last pull the barrel out of the cage.
