Whats available? Romak 3 and what else?

Not looking for sub moa as I have that already.

Just something that is reasonably accurate to 350 yds and reliable.

I have a shit load of ammo for my nagants already and it's cheap to buy.

Call me crazy but i think a 16 inch AR has a bigger muzzle blast then a mosin. Ive stand next to my friend when he was shooting is m44 and then his 16in AR and the AR had considerably more of a concussion.

Maybe it depends on what loads you are shooting, he was just shooting cheapo, corrosive ammo.

Generally, the phrases "cheap ammo" and "accurate sniper rifle" are mutually exclusive.

If you want accuracy, you're going to have to buy accurate ammo - and as long as you're doing that, why needlessly limit yourself to 7.62 x 54?

I have the sub moa rifles already. $2 a round gets expensive. I just want to hit a 12" target every shot out to 350- 400 yds

I wish someone built a semi auto PKM. Then I would have a real use for all this ammo.

How can I not post.  Bipod finally came after a year and a half from russia, so a crappy undersized pic.
Get a Tigr, do some mods.

Don't use cheap ammo if you want the best performance out of the 7.62x54r.

I really want to get one of the Finn M39s while they're still reasonable. Finland is one of the few or possibly only nations with a higher rate of gun ownership than the USA. They used captured Russian '91s and rebuilt them to be very accurate.

ETA: The final use of the M-N actions was in the Finnish 7.62 TKIV 85.

Exactly how accurate are those anway? What kind of groups would one expect from a Tigr? I know the PSL is less than spectacular.

After shooting another ARFCOMer's PSL with Russian optics, I have to say that I was impressed by it. It's a heck of a designated marksman's rifle... not a .308 bolt gun, but good at what it's supposed to do.

There's a Romanian for sale at Guns and Leather in Greenbrier for $800ish. Looks real nice. Apparently, you're lucky to get 2 MOA. VERY short length of pull, looong barrel and a 4X scope. I've been intrigued about them but can't stand the thought of buying one and getting 3-4 MOA accuracy. They are kind of cool though.
