For the Children;

Jesus Just left Chicago (ZZ Top Tres Hombres 1973)

Jesus just left chicago and he’s bound for new orleans.
Well now, jesus just left chicago and he’s bound for new orleans.
Yeah, yeah.
Workin’ from one end to the other and all points in between.

Took a jump through mississippi, well, muddy water turned to wine.
Took a jump through mississippi, muddy water turned to wine.
Yeah, yeah.
Then out to california through the forests and the pines.
Ah, take me with you, jesus.

You might not see him in person but he’ll se you just the same.
You might not see him in person but he’ll se you just the same.
Yeah, yeah.
You don’t have to worry ’cause takin’ care of business is his name

You know things are really bad in Chicago when JC bugs out from there (not that New Orleans is much of a bargain either).

I saw them 10 or 12 years ago. It was great show. They spare no expense when it comes to putting on a spectacle. However, it was LOUD. I have not been to many rock concerts, so maybe it's typical, but they were loud enough to cause pain and render much of their singing unintelligible. The stage show, though, was truly amazing.

Finger on the trigger and a 20 round mag in the M-16/AR. The Jesus I know would at least have a Shrike or some sort of belt fed.

As a matter of fact, they did.

I think he has extra mags under his robes.

Never got to see them, damnit, but I did meet the drummer back when he was racing a Porsche in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

I wonder if he got burnt on a deal from Ammo Man and is showing up at Erics door to express his dis-satification in that pic?

Jesus Just Left Chicago is a sweet sweet tune...

I've been fortunate enough to see Top 3 times.  The first time was the Recycler tour.  The junk yard stage and conveyor belts.... that was cool.

The 2nd time was some kind of low key thing, and I don't even remember the name of the tour.  It really didn't seem as though they were enjoying themselves that much.  Mr. Hill had some problems with his bass thoughout the show.  I remember they had two grass hut looking things on the stage and some other kind of off the wall props.  One of Mr. Gibbon's guitars had 'Think Buck Owens" on the back of the neck.  There were several little odd things like that.  It was a bit of a disappointment for me, but I'm still glad I had the chance to see them

The last time I saw them was like 3 years ago, or so, I think.  Nuge was the opener.  All in all, that had to be one of the best concerts I've ever attended.

If I never get to see ZZ Top or AC/DC again, I think I'll just ... I dunno... it won't be pretty.

His finger is on the trigger, Jesus would not do that..

No way is Jesus going to go around with just a 20 round mag...

He'd have a 30 rounder or a Beta C...

and some kind of free floated rail system with all the toys...

The 1911 is correct though...
