I'm 6'3.
When i'm outside of the state of Minnesota (where it seems like everyone stands over 6'), i'm usually one of the tallest guys in the room, so everyone is "short" to me. |

One of the guys at the plant is 5`4", we give him hell all the time, but he can take it and gives us hell right back....
We got him good one Saturday. Someone took a wood crate and wrote his name on it, and beside his name, wrote, PEE PEE STAND, and placed it under a urinal.....  Oh now that was funny.......

I worked with two guys,one had to be close to 7 feet,his partner was just under 5 feet. Funny looking pair.

I'm 6'4" and I would say that I start to notice it with men at anything under 5'10". 5'8" is definetly the start of "short" to me.
With women probably at 5'5" and under, but who cares, the smaller they are the easier they are to spin! |

It would be neat to see what the averages are. I am 5'9-5'10. I deal with a lot of people at 6' or so.
There is a State Trooper who must be pushing 5' 3" (trying to give him credit too) or so. He looks like he is all of 19 years old too. I think I will have to try the step thing to get him into his cruiser. He finds a lot of DUIs though and has not had much of a problem yet. |

I think the average height of grown males is 178cm here. So, I'd guess everyone below that is categorically short. (I'm 180cm myself, so I'm just a hair above the average.)

I'm 6'4, I don't notice short since most people are shorter than me....I only notice when someone is as tall or taller than me. You just get used to looking down.

I notice most of the Hispanics I see around here mowing lawns, duing construction, etc. seem to be in the 5-4 to 5-6 height range, but stocky. Is that a normal build for an average Mexican male?

CHP JBT's used to have to be 5'9" but that "racist" requirement was removed.
From an "activist" website: "After all, the artificial obstacles that had been put in place greatly reduced the number of minorities that could join the ranks. A good example, and one which the CHP could not defend, was the minimum height requirement of 5’9" inches. This bogus requirement certainly limited the number of Latino and Asians that could meet that height, (we, with the assistance of Asian and Women organizations eventually changed that requirement when they testified before the State Personnel Board and won)." |

Im 5'6, I'd consider anyone under 5'10 to be short. 19 so hoping I can get another 3 or 4 inches in before I quit growing (unlikely) what age to males grow untill?
As for being stocky I am a little bit, at 5'6 my weight is 165. I think im a bit overweight and trying to loose round 10 pounds but im comfterble with it cause im not too the point where I cant handle the extra fat. I can run a few miles or climb a roap using just my arms without any problems. |

I am 5'10". I usually don't really notice unless someone is less than 5'4".
I am one of the tallest people at work though. I work with a lot of Indians. I get called short by my >6' tall friends. I tell them to kiss my ass, and life goes on. |
