One comment about that exam if you are going to be taking it:

Give the answers EXACTLY as shown in the on-line tests and in the paper samples document if you get a copy of that. Many of the questions have more than one answer, or more than one way of answering. They compare your response with what they see on the computer screen, and if you don't answer exactly that, its counted as wrong (even if its right!).

I am a true Son of the American Revolution so I don't "need" to take the exam, I just want to know what kind of information our .gov is requiring the legal immigrants to learn before they become citizens.

Oh, I did a google, and cannot find an online version of the complete exam. I can find about twenty questions, not to mention services to help with pasing the exam (for a fee, of course!!).

I took 2 American History classes in college, watch the History Channel and I've been reading ARFCOM for 3 years.  I think I'll be all set if the day comes.

From the Simpsons:

Proctor: All right, here's your last question. What was the cause of the Civil War?
Apu: Actually, there were numerous causes. Aside from the obvious schism between the abolitionists and the anti-abolitionists, there were economic factors, both domestic and inter--
Proctor: Wait, wait... just say slavery.
Apu: Slavery it is, sir.
