Were his parents US Citizens?

If so, your statement is false.

McCain can't be president because he's a leftist and idenfies himself as Republican.

he was born in the canal zone, which was US territory and therefore is perfectly  able to run for president.

This is where you'll explain why he can RUN for President, but can't be ELECTED to the Presidency.  You think if he wins, someone's gonna run out in the middle of the inaugeration with the Constitution in his hand and scream that John McCain can't be President.

And most likely, he was born in the Canal Zone, which at the time, belonged to the United States.  He can be President... if he's elected that is.

John McCain can be elected only if there are enough people stupid enough to vote for him!

Constitution states you must be a natural born citizen.  That doesn't mean you have to be born on U.S. soil.

Yeah, I'd vote for Leiberman over McCain; and I've NEVER voted for a Democrat. Ever. Not once. Not in 26 years of voting. I've often thought about moving to Arizona just to vote against that jackass.

Correction:  Panama Canal Zone:  US Soil at the time.

I was born at RAF Lakenheath in the UK, but am a US citizen by birth, as is Sen. McCain.

I believe calling him a traitor is a bit much, as he is a former POW, but I sure wish he's sit down and shut up.

You should learn about "The Hero of Verdun"

Marshal Henri Philippe Pétain
Henri Pétain was a military and political leader and France´s greatest hero in World War I (1914-1918).
He was later condemned as a traitor for having headed the pro-German Vichy regime after France's defeat in World War II (1939-1945).
