Hi. I have the option of buying a garand or a 1911.  I have neither and can not get both. I like them both equally but can not decide on which one. I do shoot USPSA and will use the 1911 for that. If I get a Garand I can use it for deer hunting, fun, and Hipower. I am really confused. I need some help, arfcom.

get the Garand, 1911's are aplenty and will always be, so go with the Hardest to replace first.

Are you going to get the Garand from the CMP?  What 1911 are you looking at?

You could get both a CMP M1 and a S.A. 1911 for the price of what the M1 reproductions will cost you...

I can get a garand with a throat gauge of 1 for 495 dollars from a friend or a new SA 1911 loaded.

Get the Garand.

I love shooting the Garand, plus $495 is a good price.  I used to own a SA 1911 Loaded and it was a JAM-O-MATIC.....the M1 never jams.

If you want a 1911, you can always find one.

Get the Garand first, 1911 second.
