If we opened the can of worms with TN's in Iran, would/could that carryover into Afghanistan allowing us to take out the Taliban/al Queda forces in the mountains?

Just wondering.....

Depends if there's a good easterly wind blowing.

Nukes don't perform well at all in the kind of terrain found in the Afghan mountains.

ah... why you need nukes? perhaps you mean carpet bomb with thermo nukes... since apparently the reason we cant get the talitubies is because they are sparse, dispersed and hidden .. ie we don't know where they are or we know there's mayhap 4 or 5 in this cave and 3 or 6 in that cave in the next mountain over..

use nukes in iran to take out known fixed reinforced deep bunkers that contain highly valuable fixed military targets..

dont see the parallel in a-stan...

Because as we speak, we're opening another can of whupass on the AQ's/Taliban in AF.

Thermos would work just fine, too.

Still not sure I'd want to stand within a mile of the cannon when it was fired.

Not much going on in Afghanistan. Why waste a perfectly good nuke on them?

Well, Operation Lion just started over there...I'd say we're not forgetting the BG's over there, either.

Really?  Why don't you tell that to the family of SFC Christopher L. Robinson (www.militarycity.com/valor/1646497.html)?

OEF is a low intensity conflict; that doesn't mean that there is nothing going on there.
