Just wondering...
It has been at least 6 months since I have been shooting.... I hate to admit it, but I have a new upper from JTAC and a G21 I got in Febuary I still have not shot yet..... |
A couple times a month. An all day event 6 times a year. Used to be more, but with increased pay comes increased responsibilty.
Couple of times a month. When I have a little more time, I wind up two or three times a week out there.
Only about 3 times yearly.
But I shoot 3-4 times weekly. My place is essentially surrounded by forest and I hike in it most days. I shoot different things every time. ARs, AKs, Glock. It does keep me in practice. Winter is when I get most of my handgun practice. I shoot at twigs sticking out of the snow in the sides of hills. Good practice and I can see exactly where I am hitting. The best part is an unlimited supply of targets. Once the bear come out of hibernation (about now) I start carrying bigger weaponry. And yeah, sometimes I may need it. I really have to remember to make a littel noise now and then or I slip into hunting/Marine mode and end up walking right up on things. Some big things with big teeth. Sometimes I go to one of the local depressions and put targets up on stumps. Work my way thru the trees, shooting as I go. Or do rapid fire drills in the quarry nearby. Clay pigeons scattered up the side. Better with someone for a little competition. |

If your using "going to the range" as an euphemism for sex. Count me in for every other day... Other wise.. Its been about 2 months since I have shot..
AT LEAST once a week... the past few have been Saturday and Sunday... I came back home about 11:45 today... 100rds of 12 gauge bustin clay's and about 200 rds out of my AK... oh and half a brick or so out of my krinkplinker... I would have shot more but honey do's HAD to be done... I'd shoot more IF I could work LESS and make MORE moneyhoot

I have been told that before, yes many times.... |
Me too |

About every other month, but I do shoot at home more often. I just don't like shooting by myself, thats why I go to the range.

About once bi-weekly. Shot in a J.C. Garand shoot today out in Youngstown OH. Had a great time and a great slow prone stage. I love my M1 almost as much as my EBR. Okay maybe a little more even but don't tell my AR.
The indoor range about twice a week. I don't get out to the long distance range often enough.
luckly i have been able to go shooting everyday that i want to. so atleast 5 times a week for a hour atleast.
once every other week when i'm at home.
not at all when i'm at school |
Try for at least once a week. Sometimes that won't work though. I just got back from a trip and it had been 3 weeks since I last shot.
5.5 years since I've been shooting. I haven't had any free time while near the closest indoor range (~100 miles away) since then. I've still got five more 30 minute sessions there prepaid so I've really been trying to arrange free time there for a long time. The two rifle ranges within ~45 miles require a truck to get to and I don't own one so that's a no go. I just wish I had enough land to shoot on. I'd love to shoot several times a week.z
used to be twice a week when I lived in KS - now its once a month if I'm lucky...
Before my injuries(back, legs, right arm). I would go twice monthly. I have not been to the range in seven months.
4 or 5 times a month, more if I get something new during the month.
Lately I have I have trap shooting every Sunday, but it has been 3 months since I took out the rifles and pistols.
Likely at least twice a week.. (Sunday and Tuesdays). With the occaisional extra outing or two per week once in a while..
I'm looking fwd. to Sept. as my little one will start grade one and therefore be at skool all day instead of just 12:30-1500hrs in Sr. KinderG. I can see spending lots more time shooting as I'm off werk lots during the week and I'll be kid free for most of the day!!! |
not often enough....one drawback to my schedule.
Weekends are taken up with work/sleep, and the range I like to go to is closed on my days off that I would like to go. Other ranges I'm interested in are not close, and local indoors are too $$$. No Expert |
About once a week...usually on a sat or sun morning...occasionally on a friday night after work.
Twice a month. Once a month Jan-Mar, more due to how soon sunset is, than the cold.
If I went shooting as often as I got female action.........let's see, that was uhhhhh 1999? Or was it 2000? (and I'm not bad looking). I shoot GUNS a lot more often than that. In fact, I should just forget about women and marry one of my guns...perhaps my HK or my new SIG. Haha. |

What he said |
Every week. This weekend I went both days . Unfortunately... that means that I used up 600 rounds. At least it was only my "range ammo" (cheap wolf). My SHTF stuff is different from the range stuff.
For work 4 times a year.
For fun about 4 times a year. No range just shooting (crows, squirrels or sighting in rifles) about 4 times a year. Hunting dove 4 to 10 times a year. Quail, chukker or pheasant 4-15 times a year. Deer or elk 7 to 15 times a year. Pig 0 to 5 times a year. |
Almost every weekend, sometimes both Saturday and Sunday, all day. Though I missed the last two, but my spring break is next week so I'll make up for it then!
In the winter, I usually go months between visits. Lately I bought a membership at an indoor range and now I am going once a week.
Now that spring is here, I have been going three times a week. I much prefer outdoor shooting. |
every other weekend or so. i drive like 35ish miles to my range each way too. but its worth it. i go more in the winter then in the summer. i like cold weather. lowcountry summers suck
I try to make it to the range 2 or 3 times a week. Even if it's only for an hour before I have to go to work it's well worht it.
I used to go about once every two months. When I was on my recent "vacation" I went two to three times a week. Now that I'm back to work I haven't been in about a month.
