Some of you may remember a while back I was asking for any old throw-away revolver cylinders for a project, and I've finally finished one.

Here's the NRA item that I'm copying the idea from;

I got an old black powder cylinder from someone on here, and here's the project from beginning to end;

Raw materials;

Stained the wood, and got screws to fit the cylinder;

Another coat of stain, and found screw to fit my old 50 cal keychain;

Used wife's craft varnish;

Drilled the holes and put felt feet on;

Installed cylinder and shell with screws and Lok-Tite;

Glued ARFCOM coin down, project complete;

Some parts for another one;

I'm actually pleased with how it turned out, which is somewhat rare for my projects.

I'm trying to figure what else to adorn the second one with, but I may just leave an empty spot for a future ARFCOM coin. (I'm assuming we'll do it again sometime).

EDIT--BTW, if anyone has any cylinders they don't want, I'd still like more to make these. It's fun.

Nice...

Now, how about adding an AK mag that dispenses paper clips?

I could attach the mag, but I couldn't make it into a paper clip dispenser.
I do have a couple old/cracked AR mags though. Hmmmmmmm....................

holowed out mag filled most the way with epoxy or other filler and a magnetic strip on the top inside of the feed lips and ta-da...not sure if it would work good......

Hmmmmm, sounds like it would work.

I think I'll start watching for any major gun parts being scrapped.

Man that looks great!

I would so buy that from you.

If I can scrounge up the parts, how much do you think something similar would be worth?
(I don't want to sell the first one, especially with my coin on it).

Oh yeah, any new ones wouldn't have the coin on them.
