I have a really high pitched squeal coming from my monitor...almost like a dog whistle...can barely hear it, but hell it is annoying.....

Help me out.....

try changing the refresh rates on your display.

I've always fixed that by wiggling the power cable where it goes into the monitor.

That noise you hear is the magic smoke trying to get out.

Seriously, it is the power supply, and it is most likely on its last legs.  Might last a day or a year, but it has developed problems.  Best to have a spare monitor standing by.

Go to a higher refresh rate.
