Just got out of the navy, did 9.5 years as a submariner and an instructor. My rating was a FT1(SS), which is a fire control technician first class submarine qualified.

It was a good experiance and dont regret any of it, It was just time for me to do something new.

Damn its nice to be free!

make wine in eastern Washington(started a winery last year), maybe take a job if I get bored with the lag time between grape harvests. Finish school. Be a ski bum. Meet chicks that arent near any military bases. Eat, live and be merry.

nope. Did my IRR time already.

When you sign up for service you are oblgated for 8 years IRR..which you do on active duty. So, if you do longer than 8 years active then you dont have and IRR left.

When I was short, I learned very quickly to answer, "Racer, how many days you got left?" with, "Not nearly enough <sir, chief, sgt>, I love it here!"
