with all this new technology, we should really start fearing iran
-stealth boat -MIRV -230mph torpedo what will they think of next? |
I bet you can bring one down using a 12G trap gun if using full choke.
MARPAT Except they will call it ROPAT. |
The pic is a fake. Everyone knows they got ahold of the SUPERHORNET!
I could see using it to do a little puddle jumping hunting ducks, but, to engage a carrier group. |
Anything that they can buy from Russia and put a fresh coat of paint on |
Nuclear hand grenades? |
Okay,
A.) That thing looks like a less well put together version os some of the kti planes I see at Oshkosh each year. and B.) Stealth? With a massive exposed strut structure, and piston engine on the top of the thing...Yeah that'll do wonders for the Radar Cross Section. |
they're an islamic repbulic, so it will be HOLY nuclear hand grenades |

So they have a GEV that can act in the same capacity as a WW II PT boat, but way faster. That is good innovative thinking. I wish we had something similar. It would certainly serve the Coast Guard well in their efforts.
Remember when Libya invaded Chad with their modern mechanized army and got their asses handed to them by a bun ch of yahoos in small Toyota 4WD trucks armed with Milan 90s? Remember when we had several helocopters shot down in Somalia by a bunch of drugged up peasants armed with shitty RPGs? Remember when the Russian got run out of Afghanistan by a bunch of ragheads armed with Stingers? Anyone who is smug about our superiority just really doesn't understand the nature of warfare. You better respect your adversary, because if you don't he will certainly take advantage of that lack of respect. |
My next guess would be a stealth tank that defeats IR targeting and can withstand direct missile hits without damage. The guns range will be 30 miles and have pinpoint accuracy with a shell that can destroy the great satan's tanks at will.
It's all posturing, they think they're scaring us..... |
You might see something like that at Oshkosh. Anybody that thinks that won't show up on radar is missing a few dots on his dice!! I'd really like to see Abduhl try to operate it in rough water. Didn't Wylie Coyote have an Acme version of that super-sophisticated, high-tech, space-age, weapons system??
Fixed it for you.. |

Iran is trying it's hand at a show of force. As an ARFcom Keyboard Commando, I'm unimpressed. I think Iran knows if the US decides to roll them over, it will be pretty easy. We're good at wrecking extremist regimes, but putting them back together is rather hit or miss. |
Its "stealthly" in that it flies just above the water, which would arguably hide it amongst surface clutter I guess. Of course, that doesn't work if folks know to look for it...
One of my Glocks has night-sights, does that count? |

In Afganistan we defeated a ragtag Militia type army that was scattered and disorganized.
In Iraq we defeated an organized, equipped, centralized army that probably was twice the Army Iran can throw together. I'd say it's Sabre Rattling at it's finest. If you were in ANY Arab Army, would YOU want to fight us? |
I think Iran is do for an unfortunate nuclear accident at there testing facility.
Well - it will be pretty damn hard to detect a plane that's gonna break apart and sink 80% of the time. On the bright side, it'll be easier to launch their "230 MPH" torpedo. |
Do they have a stealth assault wheelbarrow as well?
Because then we'll really be in trouble. |
GI Joe and now the Iranians have all the cool toys. |
Oh come on!
You know that some skink will strap himself into that garbage and try to emulate some 1940s war documentary footage.I would say that he will just about make it over the water before we show them how well cheap composites burn. Anything that sends them off to alah quicker... I'm all in favor of. |
Actually that is a lawn chair. With a mullah in it.
How the hell can a pilot fly that thing with a goddamn backseat mullah shouting at him. "Allah is great" "Allah says pull up" "Allah says more throttle!" "Allah says pull up! Pull UP!" |

We did it by buying them off, not by force of arms. We have employed force aganist very few of the enemy there.
Here is what I learned in Iraq. Arabs tend to be congenital idiots. They are invariably filthy, shortsighted morons with a life philosophy designed around bizarrre ideation. They are poor soldiers, mainly because they cannot use their imaginations, nor are they oriented towards success in any real way. I also learned that if I was a heathen that I could wreak some serious death and destruction of the US Army and USMC all by my little lonesome. I could do it and be home for supper and a shower seven days a week. There was once a documentary done where they interviewed SOCOM personell. One SeAL said, "It isn't that we are good. We aren't. We suck. it's just that they are that bad." remember that. |

A Phalanx would make short work of it. I would pay good money to see it too.
But Antioch is in Turkey, not Iran. |
I'd pay good money to see that loaded in the bitching betty of a couple of fighters. "Allah says windshear ahead" |
+ 1000 maybe the air boat engine on it's back is just the prototype engine the real engine was a design stolen by Jaba the hut and is a copy of a viper engine from BSG's stealth viper. |

I found some specs...
Iran to produce flying boats TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (MNA) -- A number of Iranian engineers have designed a two-seat flying boat in the Malek Ashatar University of Industry in Shiraz which is able to fly over water for 1-4 meter distance and even 50 meter distance in emergency to jump over obstacles, according to a report released in the Persian Gulf exhibition that wound up on Jan. 21 in Kish. The flying boat is in final stages to be produced massively. It speeds as fast as 160 km per hour and can be continuously driven for two hours with a fuel tank of 60 liter. The boat is fully made by composite and is equipped with an Austrian-made 110 horse piston engine. The report added that the university plans to develop the initial design of the boat to produce a flying boat with a capacity of eight seats. The developed boat will need two engines. The flying boat might be used for escorting in the sport ceremonies too. Less than ten countries such as Russia, Germany, China, the U.S., and Australia have so far been able to obtain the production technology of this sort of boat in the world. |

Less than ten countries, and these 29 people. |

http://www.mehrnews.ir/en/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsID=150998 yep, it's top secret shhhhhhhhhh |

Oh no! They stole top secret vehicle data from the elite U.S. G.I. Joes! I wouldn't be surprised if that served as their blueprint! On a side note, I had that toy, and G.I. Joes RULE!!! |

Just wait till it unleashes the "Mother of all AquaBumping" Then you will be sorry.
Seriously. ground effect craft are not a new idea at all. The Russians put serious money into it. For some reason, it never caught on. Probably, because water is pretty solid above 100 kts. |
