gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/04/coz-says-chocolate-city-needs.html

This guy may be a woman chasing whatever (which according to the Dems shouldn't be relevant anyway) but he's sure got an interesting viewpoint:

gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/04/coz-says-chocolate-city-needs.html

Cosby, whose criticism of some aspects of modern African-American culture has stirred controversy in recent years, told a rally headed by black leaders that the city needed to look at the "wound" it had before Katrina struck.

"It's painful, but we can't cleanse ourselves unless we look at the wound," Cosby told the rally of about 2,000 people in front of the city's convention center.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you had the highest murder rate, unto each other. You were dealing drugs to each other. You were impregnating our 13-, 12-, 11-year-old children," he said.

"What kind of a village is that?"

Look at the picture.  I swear it looks to me like Jesse Jackson actually wants to reach out and do violence to Bill Cosby based on what he's saying.

Bill Cosby expects "Accountability" and they can't stand that, it has to be Bush's or whitey's fault etc; etc; so Bill Cosby is "Racist" too

What is his stance on gun control? On immigration?

The Coz for president? I'd give him a second look...

Cosby makes sense, but to his detriment, everything is about race with him.  Remember when he tried to be CBS way back in the Cosby Show days and then when denied (because he didn't offer enough money) he threw out the race card and said they wouldn't sell to him because he's black and they're "racists?"

Hopefully his words can have an impact on his people and help them turn around.

it's amazing the "black leadership" would even allow him to speak there.  they know he speaks the truth, and that the truth so too damaging to their cause

we've become so PC [as a nation] that we can no longer acknowledge problems that exist outside of the white population. any indications otherwise are shouted down, no matter how valid, with cries of racism.

and being labeled a racist today, is like being labeled a witch yesterday...

Bill Cosby seems to be an intelligent and decent man to me.  I don't know all of his politics, but I  would venture to say that while maybe he does focus on race a lot I think he has a much more realistic take on the issue than most black "leaders"...

I saw an excellent documentary on race and how it affects the black community on PBS a couple years ago.  I was basically successful blacks railing against the abuses and demogoguery of asshats like sharpton, jackson, and farrakhan. (names not capitalized to show disrespect)

There are a lot of blacks out there who don't agree wtih the demogogues.  It's unfortunate that the PC media doesn't give them any airtime.  All letting al and jesse speak for their "community" does is reinforce racism on both sides...

But of course that is what they really want.  Otherwise they'd have to get real jobs...

I wish I have something new to add, but you have already said it.  Cosby is damaging to the black democrats, he doesn't pull any punches except in not going after Sharpton, Jackson, and the bitch who punched a capital cop (I wonder what he thinks of her behavior?).  Cosby says it like it is, and I only wish he and others that think like him could get more airtime.

Cosby calls them as he sees them - can't fault him for that.

Most in the black community feel one can't make it unless they have a helping hand from the government. Pulling yourself up from your own boot straps family church or community is taboo in many a black mind and they believe it doesn't really work. At least that's what the black talking heads seem to tell us on TV.

The black community doesn't realize that socialism doesn't offer a helping hand, but a hand on top of your head pushing you down, keeping you down, taking much and giving very little in return to society. It starves the drive and contribution force inherent in all of us. Hell, socialism is half of what started black society down the road to hell in the first place (slavery certainly is the other half).

Bill Cosby usually speaks clearly, it's a shame that the socialist villify him.

The only " Cause " important to Sharpton and JJ Jackson, are their Cayman Island bank accounts.  Speaking the truth to the masses might interfere with their abilities to bolster those accounts.  Imagine what would happen if their consituency stopped buying their line of bullshite and decided to improve their lives for themselves, instead of sending their money to them in return for exciting non functional rhetoric.

Someone ought to photchop Sharpton and Jesse's head on our Looty friend.  His dishpan full of Heineken is nearly as famous as his cool hairdo.
