ordered a set last week as i needed some good range gloves. got them in today. i ordered them from rusttx at dsgarms.com.
first impressions.
Appear to be VERY well made all stiching looks and seems look perfect. no loose threads and everything appears to be double stiched for durability
Color is a little lighter than i expected <tan>
fit is great. i ordered a size medium and they fit perfectly. snug enough for good dexterity and loose enough for comfort. i am typing this with them on. like most duty gloves fit is a bit snug.
the knuckle plate appears to sit a bit high when your hand is open but does not bunchup or affect the comfort or grip at all. looks a bit odd but wears perfectly. The ad state they will not collapse, i put them on the ground and stood on them with my boots on. 235lbs of me on them and they never collapsed.
I would have prefered some kevlar or nomex for flame retardation and at this price i think it should be there, but for my use i think they will be fine for heavy range work and training. i beleive the TAG gloves do have this protection.
one really nice feature is the sweat pad in the thumb area. i sweat like a hog and this will come in handy.
from a tactile point of view i was actually able to button and unbutton a shirt with them on. That was pretty impressive to me. <no i don't get out much>
the index finger tips have some type of rubberised strips applied to the tips. makes trigger manipulation a breeze as my finger doesn't slip.
All in all i am pleased with them so far. Time will tell how well they holdup, but they appear to be pretty dang sturdy.
When i was looking for gloves i had pretty much narrowed it down to these and the oakley's. Oakley was in the running until i found out the kevlar was only in the armored areas and offered no more protection than these.
Overall it appears to be a really well made duty glove.
