Working on some papers and I thought I saw a shadow go by to my left. I'm home alone so I know it's not the Mrs.

Yes! It's happened a lot since we moved into this house.

I'm sitting watching TV and, in my peripheral vision, I'll see someone go past the door. It's happened during the day and at night.

There was a lot of weird activity in this house up until about a month ago and then it just stopped dead.

people still think I am crazy for talking about it, but you have witnessed a shadow person.  I can buy sleep paralysis when you are sleeping, but what about when you are wide awake?  Shadow people live.

Nope. It gradually got more and more active, then stopped. We haven't done anything to the place.

The Amityville haunting was a hoax just like the Ol' Travis Walton ( Fire in the Sky ) UFO Abduction....pure hoax.

 As far as "shadow people" go...you have nothing to fear....ghosts and such are residual images and nothing more.  Shadow People are probably a pshycholgical phenomenon...many folks see them.....

 If you get too tired you will start to see things alot esp out of the corner of your eye. I see stuff like that all the time when I get run down.
 I'm so jumpy I will almost draw on the phone when it rings, but the ghosts don't bother me

We have a motion sensor alarm, that goes off several times per night for no apparent reason.  

Between the ammo and repair costs, I'm beginning to think that recon-by-fire is not the best response.

A friend of mine lived in an old victorian mansion.  Out of the corner of his eye he and his wife would occasionally see one or two women dressed from the 1800's go up or down a staircase.  If he tried to look directly at them, they were not there.  There were other sounds at wierd times also but never experienced any harm from the ghosts.
Research revealed that  two spinsters lived there around the late 1800's.

Yeah, I forget the name of it but a shrink once asked me if I saw things, out of the corner of my eye, I hesitated, he than said that it was a sympton of a pshycholgical condition, but I don't remember the name of it. Whew, thought I was crazy for a min. and what is wrong with clearing the house armed? Also, do you have a dog, I thought they were good indicators of 'something might be in the house'.

LOTS of things trip those badboys...if they didn't, my hubby would have never had anything to do before he left security to concentrate on fire alarms. Heat can trip them. Dust. Spiders....depends upon the sensor, placement and atmosphere.

Now...save that ammo for the badguys!
