Have you seen one of the new ten dollar bills? It looks like it was dipped in coffe. WTF were they thinking?
They changed it a bit and added some color. What's your problem with that? |
yes. first one i saw i thought was stained... dropped in a toilet or something...
It could have the old arfcom penis on it for all I care, as long as its legal tender, its OK with me.
Looks like Canadian money, but I like it.
Far more than the new c-note. |
Hey, Im jus happy they left IN GOD WE TRUST in there. Otherwise I think Id load up on Preban 10dollar bills.
he is from cali, all colors look like coffee. I have one, I can't spend it because it looks so cool in my money clip, it even covers my franklins.. |
Looks good to me. If you don't like yours, I'll take 'em Thanks, Defon, you're quicker than me |
I thought I was being handed pesos.........more like foreign currency. Just not..........green enough.
as a nusmismatist I like new currency and coins. More so the coins, the penny's obverse is almost 100 years old, the nickle is 67 yo, but they've been mixing up the nickles and quarters of course. Time to do something with the dime
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it says Ten on the bill 3 times in total, whereas the number 10 is printed 8 times. What's repetitive? |
Hmmm...when something is called "specimen", I think of something else.
Thats what i was thinking. |

You do realize that it is illegal to put Marpat on a G.I. Joe? |
Does any one else see the irony of printing "We the People" on a Federal Reserve Note?

I saw one the other day as I was paying for something. I had to stare for a while to make sure it was real then I gave it to the clerk

I think the new bill looks like caca!
They could have atleast used Red or Blue ink instead of that nasty orange? |
actually it looks like "We ten people" |
An aspiring third world country needs third world money right? LOL
Zinger! ouch |
No, but he lives about 15 minutes from my house. |
I knew it would only be a matter of time before sarge showed again...
15 minutes.....as the snail crawls? It's most definitely him. |

I got one of those this week... thought "WTF?"... held it up to the light to make sure I could see the watermark... it was there, so I wasn't worried. Then I noticed it said 'Series 2004' on it. WTF? It's been out TWO years, and we're just seeing them??
still out there man?,,,I have a picture of you on my hard drive 'Both Guns Blazing' wherever you are Take Care and the Mrs.
Hiwathl |
I can prove I'm not Sarge. I posted this thread today:
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=135&t=451424 Sarge was a stout defender of the Catholic Church, was he not? Isn't that why he got bounced from ARFCOM? |

I've heard somewhere that when we redesign our money it actually devalues our currency as people begin to lose faith in it.
IMO the whole changing the look of currency is just a waste of money. We had the same bills and coins for several decades with no problems, but in this past 10 years how many times have we changed them up? The whole worrying about counterfeiting problem was overblown IMO. If the counterfeiting was good enough that nobody noticed the difference and it keept circulating then no one was hurt. Hell if counterfeiting was much of a problem then the federal reserve could just churn out a few less bills because someone else was doing it for them. There is almost no difference when the fed reserve churns out money and an average person does, except the average person doesnt churn out quite as much. |
The Damned red-Mafia has so counterfeited our notes, the Treasury has to do something
Commercial printing techniques are so good today, that is has become almost too easy. They bleach $1 notes, use the paper for the $100, or $50, $20, and $10 notes It can and does undermine our economy. |
IIRC, the "Series" is just when the design was done, not when the bills were put into circulation. |
Would you rather them be counterfeited?
Here in Fairbanks, there has been a chain of counterfeit bills being spent around town lately. |
Got one as change the other day for the first time. It was a definite [Neo]"whoa!"[/Neo] moment.
I do like it though. |
Yeah, but with those little strips in all but the $1 dollar bill it's going to take a bite out of my counterfeiting business! |
