if a .45 ACP Thompson can drop em' so can a 11.5" AR.
G17 POF SBR 11.5 .223 AR w/ Trijicon Reflex and a AOW dbl. shotgun with a 6-10" barrel strapped to my rig with bungy for those close encounters. Hey, I'm confident in my skills with the G17 an AR, more so than any other rifle/handgun. Only need a box or two for the Shotgun, but alot more mags for the 9mm and AR.  |

The LOTR movies were awesome, so first off you have bad taste.
As for guns for skull island... A 500 Nitro Express double rifle for the V-Rexes. A FAL in 308 for the normal size threats. An M4 for the whacked out natives. And some guy with bad taste in movies to carry the other two when I don't need them.

wow I just finished watching King Kong. holy cow what a turd.
dear peter jackson take your movie, figure out how long its gonna be and then divide by 2. we don't need 30 seconds of slow motion staring in every scene. also we don't need 12 minute long fight scenes. that said I'd add a can of raid hard guard to my arsenal and also some amdro. those ants were nasty. |

I agree that the movie would have been much better if they had cut an hour off. That being said:
Something hi-cap in .308 - preferably a FAL. That'd take care of most of the threats. A Benelli 12 ga. with an extended mag for the bugs. Sidearm: my 1911. But I'd probably only use it to kill myself if the bugs were gonna eat me. For T-rexes and Kong, something in .50 BMG. And I'm still not sure that'd be enough. I'd also want some sort of manservant to carry the big .50. |
