These are simple and will vastly diminish what they are getting in the US.   Also the 50 billion dollars that they leech off our system every year. If they want to work and make themselves better by all means. But come in the old fashioned legal way.

The problem with many of the posited solutions I've heard is that they would require some form of national ID...which many people are opposed to in a rightly "papieren bitte" sentiment.

Well they are going to have to get over it.  You also should be required to give a set of prints with your free medical care.

We had one lady have 3 babies in one year.

Basically one lady had medicaid and she was sharing her  card with the family.

There is no room in our jails.  30% of Federal prisoners Nationwide and 50% of Federal prisoners in California are illegals.  Santa Barbara County alone pays $1,000,000 a month on illegal alien inmates. Here is an easy solution:

Pass a law that dictates the only job the guest workers can do is to hold targets at gun ranges. Instead of stapleing your target to a board, a guest worker takes the target out as far as you tell him/her to , and holds it up above their head. When your fineshed, they bring your target back to you. Pay them $5.00 a day. If you accidentaly kill one of them, no biggie. Their not officially here anyway, so technicaly you didn't kill anyone. If one does die from work related injuries, his/her pay goes back to the gun range for maintenance costs. There will always be another guest worker to take the dead ones place.  If there are more guest workers than the existing ranges can handle, the government will build more to accomodate the guest workers.

I think this is fair.

9.  How about shutting down the legal entry points to the US? Put the pressure on Mexico to clean up their own backyard. It worked in the Kiki Camarena case when he was murdered by Mexico drug dealers in the 80s during the Reagan administration. Slow down the process of allowing legal goods from Mexico into the US and Mexico will start to listen.
