...for my concealed carry weapon.

The piece would be a Springfield Armory Compact .45.

Any good suggestions?

Not about the piece, but the rig.

The Galco SS2 is the most comfortable shoulder rig I have ever tried.

I have 2 of the Galco Miami Classics, one for my Kimber and one for my S&W 66.

I love both of them, but rarely get to use them because we just don't get a lot of cold weather down here.

Yep, way better than any Galco shoulder rig.

Galco...DROOL! Best investment I ever made. 8 years old and counting. Still looks new.

I think this is the first gun-related post I've ever seen Eric's name attached to.

Eric,

Good choices given already, but, quizically, why a shoulder rig?

I hear Alessi if the king of comfort, but I just can't see how ANY shoulder rig could be comfortable.

The name of the guy who does that escapes me but he makes some real nice stuff. He has some other "exotic" stuff too like a shoulder holster that has your pistol on one side and 10 more single stack mags on the other!

It's Andrews Custom Leather.

It's just a pic I saw the other day.  I don't have one

Why would John-Moses-Fricking-Browning need to ask gun-related questions, I aks you?

It depends on the purpose of the shoulder holster.
For driving or when having to sit for long time I like vertical shoulder holster like the traditional Bianchi's X-15.  I have one that I use to carry my 1911 when driving long distance.  There maybe better ones now but I still like the X-15 for driving.  For use while walking I like the horizontal design and Andrews Custom Leather makes one of the best I've ever used.  His butterfly design harness is very comfortable and you don't have to worry about your holstered weapon coming out the front of the shirt when you have to bend/lean forward and you don't have any tie-downs (to attached holster and mag pouch to belt) to pull and bind when you have to bend at the waist.  One problem with horizontal shoulder holster is that it is very difficult to hide long handguns like 1911 or M9 unless you are barrel chested.

I like Andy Arratoonian's holsters at Horseshoe Leather.
