I've been, two-three times, and it's a good time.  The organizer, Joe Huffman, is a super nice guy and IIRC lost his job because of the Boomershoot.  His ex-employers were anti gun.
Take rain gear.  We usually set up an overhead canopy, shooting points are 10 feet wide so you can put up a canopy and be out of the rain.  Take some tarps to wrap around it too.  If it's sunny you'll just have shade.

Last time I went there were people from New York, Texas and Alaska.  Distance is a state of mind.
