If it is a preban still w/ bayo and flash hider (read: undoctored) and it is 80% or better, go for it. For the price of just about any prebee you can add all sorts of stuff or fix her up.
Did you do the verification, or the Pawn Shop? I would do it myself to be sure. Very Cool [8D] Zaz |

Buy It! As long as it's in good shape. My pre ban(which I bought pre ban in Nov of 93) was $800 at the time. Whoever is selling it either doesn't know what they have or knows something you don't. Usually a 6601 Sporter with no bayo lug goes for around $1200 on up. Make sure it's Colt parts i.e. barrel, bolt carrier and such. Sometimes, I think, Colt used outside manufacturers parts. (I could be wrong on this though) Even so, just a preban colt lower is pretty expensive, so it seems like a good deal to me.

BUY IT the lowe alone is about 700+
if the upper/barrel is trashed it can be replaced its the lower that matters |

Thanks for the decision support...The wife has said....YES!!! Pre-Ban verified by myself with Colt Factory Customer service, and they are sending me a letter to Verify same. Very Cool if you ask me.

The deed is done. The rifle's finish is about 97% or better and is all Colt. (Needs a REALLY good cleaning, though...Bolt and carrier/Chamber is Really Dirty)Thanks for the moral support!
