Madis,

I actually had the privilege of escorting around an Admiral from Estonia and a couple of his aides/PSD when they came here about 2mos ago.
We went and their Platoon put on a static display of weapons and vehicles for the Admiral.  It was really cool.
It was definitely a neat experience working with them.

Those Estonians have newer gear, as a former commie country I'm surprised. Are we funding them or does Estonia have a good military budget?

ETA: Is it just me or does it look like they are using M-16 style mags in their AK derivatives?

Thats all their own gear, they do use some Humvees in Iraq that are provided by US Army.
Estonia has a booming economy (growth rate was 9% last year, fastest growing in Europe) so we can afford some decent kit for our troops.

These are Galil AR's by the way.

Cool, for such a small country Estonian light infantry seems to be well equiped.

I had heard some of the former Warsaw Pact countries were going to switch over to 5.56 NATO I didn't know if any acutally had.

Hmm. Funny what happens when a country goes to a simple flat tax and dumps a marxist, progressive income tax.

Good for Estonia!

Oh no, I was trying to make a comparison of your troops utilities to our Marines MarPat, a digital pattern.

A poor attempt at humor I suppose.
