I get this every once in a while. I'll wake up and the back of my head is numb. It goes away pretty quick as soon as I move my head a bit, kinda like waking up and your hand/arm is numb. Do I need a new mattress or pillow or maybe a change in sleeping postion?

Anyone else get this and find a way to releave it?

No, I think you should see a Doctor. Ask him what is going on.

I think the moral of your story is:

Don't fall asleep with a hard on!

I get the numb hand/arm thing If I lay on it, but have never heard of one's head being numb. (avoiding all possible double entendres here)

I'd see a doctor if I were you.

Is there any blood loss associated with the numbness?

I sleep on my stomach with my forehead resting on my fist at night.  I wake up all the time and my head is numb, I wake up all the time and my head is numb, I wake up all the time and my head is numb, but it doesn't seem to bother me any bother me any.

My fist are numb too.

No bloodloss.

Actually that is exactly how I sleep, on my stomach with my head resting on my arm/fist.

I'd would try a different position & see if that helps.
