The AR-15 has been played with quite a bit, with the .50 Beowulf, .458 Socom and several other large caliber rounds.  Not to mention AR pistols and SBR's.

With the AR .308 modeled off of the same platform what are some developments we can look forward to in the future of the AR .308?

Has anyone started screwing with this rifle yet?

What are the size limitations of the magazine well?  (possible calibers)

What I really want to see is an AR .308 SBR or pistol, talk about badass!

Will 12 gauge shells fit an AR-10 magazine (or a modified one)?

I was thinking the same thing!!!

Sorry, but I fail to understand what you are talking about.  I am fully aware of the possibilities of the AR-15 platform.  I was specifically asking about the AR-10 platform.

That website looks like AR-15 modifications to me.

ETA: re-read I am wrong.  .500 Phantom for the AR-10

Are you one who calls all .308 ARs the AR10?

Yep, that's me.  I'm the only one.

Sorry, specifically the RRA LAR-10, (AR .308)

AR-10 used for simplicity because some people are a bit slow.

I don't expect the RR LAR-10 to be much of a hit. The design is flawed because of it's use of the FAL mags. The rifles that will be played with more will be the AR-10 and the DPMS Panther.

The introduction of short mag calibers really opened up the possibilities for these rifles.

Not really.  The slow ones are the ones that can't seem to grasp that the AR10 is an ArmaLite.  The others go by their own brand names.  And no, you are not the only one.

As for the RRA LAR-10 (that name won't last long), wouldn't it need to be on the market and in circulation before someone started messing with it?

ArmaLite currently produces the AR10 in .300 RSAUM in addition to .308.  I believe they also have some .243 caliber AR10s left.

.308 AR platform for those that can't understand what I meant.

Sorry for the confusion.

Now back to the topic.

I have seen the .500 Phantom before but I think the last time I saw it the guy was loading it single shot through a standard AR-15.  That's why I jumped the gun and did not read the paragraph describing it on the Teppo Jutso page.

Sorry DaveS

The other two pages I have not seen before.l

Now show me a damn .308 SBR

If you could'nt remember how I started this thread.

My guns are my toys.  I have no need for airsoft.  I know everyone (not including Law enforcement or military members) here likes to refer to their weapons as tools but when it comes right down to it, the odds of them ever using them as they are intended is slim.  Therefore, they are more like toys than tools.
