1964 442 convertible. First year for 442s.
I have a camera. I have a pic. I have it on a stupid Yahoo/Geocities account which will not allow me to post a link. Some hogwash about not being able to use the account to just store photos. Bah. |

1968 Galaxie 500 2dr Fastback Before ya laff too damn hard, check the stats... Balanced 390 cid, bored .040 over 427 large valve medium riser heads w/dual racing springs 280 duration / .539 lift Comp Cam MSD 6 / Mallory Unilite / Accel 8.8mm for the sparks 4bbl from 427 w/Edelbrock 600 Hooker headers (yes, they really did make them for that car), true duals C6 with B&M ratchet shifter It's a toy that I keep working on. Actually, the motor is eventually going to find its way into a 1969 Mustang Mach body, if I can find one... **Sigh** So, bring it on, I can take it..... [8D] WWoodworth |

ahhh... lets see...
pics to follow later.... i am the proud owner of an '87 mustang GT. It currently has a bent axle... (oops :P) but my mods to it are... new std compression 302 Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads 1.6 Roller Rockers Cobra intake (ported lower) 70mm throttle body Vortech T-trim Superchager MSD 6BTM Motorsport B-303 cam 1 5/8" JBA firecone shorty headers 2.5" x-pipe complete 5 lug conversion 95-6 cobra rims 3.27 rear gears world class t-5 trans I have not got it to the track with this setup, but it should see mid to high 11's with no tuning... and low 11's to high 10's with a pro driver (not me ;) and some serious tuning.... I have kinda lost the passion for this since the local pigs have started "cracking down" on midnight street drags. We used to go out to a little spot in the middle of NOWHERE... it would attract hundreds of people... some would show up with their whole family to watch... some came to talk $hit.. but it was 98% fun and 2% not. Cops started getting sneaky and would block both sides and show up with ghetto birds... like they were cracking down on drug dealers!!.... they would ticket everyone "aiding and abetting a race contest". I understand when they break it up in Oakland... the oakland guys will do it in the middle of residential... but some of the home owners will come out and watch!!! :) There are guys that show up with 1000hp cars... when something breaks at 120mph in the middle of a neighborhood.... ugly. |

Funny,
I recently acquired a 1969 Dodge Dart and I just took some pictures of it. I may post them tomorrow (Friday) when I have them developed (don't have a digital camera, yet!). Its a work in progress as it is still stock but its getting a blown Hemi. I don't have any pics because I don't own 'em anymore, but I've had a few muscle cars over the years.
'66 Mustang 289ci all stock except for Mickey Thompson magnesium mags. Wrecked it racing out on a country road one day. I told my Dad a truck ran me off the road and I haven't told him the truth to this day. Maybe one day I'll tell him over a beer. (I don't think he reads this board.) '69 Chevelle Malibu 350ci, Hooker headers, Holley 780 dual-line double-pumper carb, B&M shift kit, Cragar mags, Skyjacker air shocks and N50-15 tires in the rear. I was going to recam it but a buddy of mine totaled it. [:(] '70 Dodge Demon 340ci 4-speed. That car would chirp 'em in all 4 real quick. '74 Monte Carlo 400ci small block, 2.02 heads. I bought this in '76 when I was in the USAF and drove it for about 6 years 'til I bought a new '82 Chevy 4X4. I think '74 was the first year NASCAR drivers drove the Monte Carlo. I worked on it at the base auto hobby shop and put a Sig Erson highway cam in it and rebuilt the Quadrajet carb. This thing was built for top end on the highway, weren't no 1/4 miler. '64 Chevy 3/4 ton long bed pickup 350ci 4-speed with a granny gear, solid black. Had some kind of generic slotted mags on it. I still have the Hooker headers and Hush Thrush mufflers I was going to put on it before I broke the crank. I sold it back to the guy I bought it from about 8 years ago. I don't have any muscle cars anymore but my wife drives a 2000 Chevy Malibu. I've driven either a truck or a SUV lately. I love the old muscle cars but if I were to get anything new it would be a brand new Monte Carlo SS. (Yes, I'm still a NASCAR fan.) [beer] |

misterhemi, you need to scale down your
pictures to smaller than 1758 x 1224. 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 would be easier on the eyes. I can lend you a hand if you need it. |

misterhemi, kudos to the hemi dart yer building. Reminds me of "Dandy" Dick Landy. Had a 70 Dart Swinger 340 myself. Racer Brown ST21 cam, 13:1 TRW's, Tarantula with 3310 on top, Hooker - then Mickey Thompson headers, MSD6a, ported heads, balanced, and all that good stuff. Then the gas lines showed up so I put in a stock 318 and sold it. Next came a 73 Powerwagon. Of course I couldn't leave that alone either so I put the 340 in to start. Got something like 16 mpg out of it till I threw a rod. Next came the 440 6 Pak, then swapped to 3310 for the sand dunes at Pismo and Glamis. Ported W-2 (stage IV) heads, 11.5:1 TRW's, headers, Sig Erson Hi RM-1 cam, MSD6a off my dart, and the usual balancing etc. Has posi all around. I ate many a Ford, Jeep, and sand buggy with that setup but then gas octane went to hell. Water injection put off the inevitable for a while but next came a relatively stock 440 out of a CHP cruiser. That's how she sits today - at least I still have it!
Friend of mine at work has a brand new, still in the crate hemi he bought back in the 60's. Tried to talk him ought of it but he won't budge. Says it's going into a bucket T someday. |

My muscle car is a 1972 Honda 600Z Coupe. 598 (air cooled)ccs of raw power, and weighs in at 1100lbs, the 10" rims are VERY cute but it is a bitch finding 10" tires (This one looks just like mine)

Nice car DavidC. My brother is a long-time Pontiac man. He has an older Trans Am, white with blue stripes. I don't remember what year but IIRC it has a 400 small block in it.
He had a beautiful black '70 GTO, 389ci 3 deuces with a factory 4-speed. The tach was built into the hood right in front of the driver. That was a great car. I wish he hadn't sold it. misterhemi, check your mail. I scaled down those pics for you and attached them to an email. |

Currently under construction:
1969 Pontiac Le Mans hdtp. No pix yet. Former Pontiacs: 1963 Grand Prix; my first car. 1964 Tempest Custom Wagon with factory 4-spd; Dad's car I got when he died. It got rearended while parked, rebuilt, then stolen! 1964 Tempest Wagon for parts; it ran and should have been the one I built. 1964 Tempest Custom 2-dr post; my late brothers car I got when he died. A 215 cu.in. 6-cyl with the 2-spd. AT. This car would not die! I drove it for years and got rid of it when it needed more work than I wanted to put into it. 1968 Le Mans; almost ready for paint when broadsided by a kid running a red light and totalled. We all lived through that one because of the sheer mass of the car. Anything smaller and someone would have surely died in that accident. 1977 Bonneville; given to me by a friend with 68,000 original miles on it in 1994. It still is driveable for backup. I drove it for years and am now going to part it out and keep whatever fits my 1979 Caprice (only a few parts will work, but, it's worth keeping the ones that do!) The Caprice is bonestock and a great workcar replacement for the Bonnie, with 64,000 original miles on it. For a workcar, I like having the BEEF around me in traffic. The '69 Le Mans is going to be "restified" to a nice rainy weather cruiser and used as the 3rd car for backup. PONTIACS! |
