I couldn't watch the whole thing - I almost lost it. In that video I see a lot of signs saying "We're the indigenous people of this continent!" Yep, in Mexico they don't treat illegal immigrants from Guatemala kindly, more like break their legs and don't give them any food or water. What's this junk Bush was talking about on TV today about some special ID card that will solve all problems with illegals because "they will have to have it to get a job." Companies pay them under the table now and will just continue. We won't know everyone who is in the country because they won't all get the card. This guy is so out of it. Now he is even saying he doesn't want a fence. And his classic line, "they take jobs Americans don't want." I support Bush less and less every day. |

let me play devil's advocate for a second here.....
As one of those demonstrator's signs said, borders are an arbitrary construct. (paraphrase) Furthermore, borders are dynamic. Always have been and always will be. Is a huge chunk of the southwest really America if we can't control it? Is it "ours" if it can be "re-colonized" and reclaimed by people that have been there a damn long time? |

Maybe someone should tell all the elitist liberals that promote open and free borders that most of the illegals from mexico are also catholics. Because, as we all know, people who are religious are nothing but racist, bigotted, ignorant morons who's extremist right wing views are dangerous (the "fuck middle America" pic on the other thread comes to mind). That might change their tune a little.
Look at what happened to France, they let the muslims come by the droves, just to support their socialist, entitlement, welfare state. look where it got them. And more riots happened today from their "I deserve everything I want just for being alive" young people. They're pissed off because they want the guarantee that they won't be fired from their jobs regardless of performance. We are a Republic, we are a government of laws, if the laws are not enforced what do we have? BTW, I am both catholic and live in middle America. The only things that liberals will ever go against is religion and the morals derived from it, it is the only institution that it is OK to discriminate against in our modern age. This whole debate blows my mind, We are debating whether or not to enforce the law. Why have the fucking law if it's not going to be enforced? |
