So I walk outside to turn on the BBQ everything is normal till I hit the ignition switch. Then I hear this loud screaming/ squealing sound it sounded like a stuck pig. I immediately open the top only to see a big ass rat on fire running out still screaming. It got about 10ft up one of the oak trees in the yard before it died. I guess next time I should open the top before lighting the burners.  or not

Don't you know the instructions say open the lid before lighting.

Now you know why.

Every time the power blinks, a squirrel gets its wings.

Careful! Your house can catch fire like that .... or start a bushfire for that matter! Imagine if that rat ran under your house instead of away from it.

That be a tree rat!

Man they are nasty looking without fur and a bushy tail!  And to think, I've eaten countless numbers of them growing up.  Tasty.

Happens around here all the time. It's like the warden is testing out Old Sparky or something.... Squirrels and birds destroying transformers, etc., BOOM! every few weeks. Lights dim, then out. So many people have got fed up with the overloaded electrical grid around here, they have bought and installed generators....

Next time open the lid AFTER the screaming stops. There will be no flaming rat running around to cause a fire hazard that way.
