There's a PD right across the border in Ohio that has a few Magnum RT cruisers.  Pretty hard-core looking.

It's a Dodge. It will spend more time in the shop than on the road in the long run.

With all the traffic in NYC, wouldn't a small golf cart be more suitable for fat, sloppy cops and their traffic stops and donut shops?

Does that thing have a Hemi? Doesn't look like it judging from the badging on the rear of the front fenders.

Chargers, Magnums, and 300s have poor visibility due to the short windows, tall doors.  I have driven a bunch of them.  LEO916 is correct.  I bet the Ford is cheaper too.

Dude, that black Charger with the tactical blower is sweet.

There is a shop called Cop Stuff in the next town over from me. They put in the light bars and radios and such for a PD's all over the country. I saw a white one leave there today and they had a black one on the lot waiting to be done. Very cool looking in 3D.

We are seeing a lot of small towns and sheriffs departments going to pickup trucks. A neighboring town has two tricked out Chevy's and our SD is driving several Dodge Rams. Word is they are way cheaper than a Crown Vic. Any of you LEO's driven one for patrol duty?

B4C...

Cops must love driving those (unless it gets too hot out - Camaros do not have the world's most efficient cooling system)....

Back in WI, MCSD has a white marked Trans-Am convertable & at least one unmarked black Camaro (speed trap car)... I believe both were drug siezure vehicles...

Ooooooooooo! That's nice! Sigh, I will still be driving a Crown Vic.

I heard in our Fleet Maintance shop today that after 2006 or 2007 Ford will discontinue all production of the CROWN VIC with no plans to produce any other 4D sedans for law enforcement.

Also wave, I think those new cars look pretty sharp!  I saw only 3 at our Fleet Shop in down town yesterday.

I applaud the sensible use of taxpayer money displayed in this thread.

I'm a little disappointed that they don't have any Enzos or SLRs.
