After reading the thread, it made more sense. I'm still shocked the POS only got tickets. Sounds like a racially motivated crime. But then I realized the vic is white. Obviously it couldn't be racially motivated if the victim is white. Right?  Should have had him on AT LEAST a disorderly conduct. Probably a harassment, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, etc. His actions AFTER the impact showed criminal intent. Total fucktard. |

You formed this opinion based solely on one side of the story? I'm willing to bet the officers tried to take the guy to jail but just didn't have the PC for the arrest. They might have requested the DA review for charges. Brian |

If you look at the pics, the guy drove straight in the lot and right at the cars! Then he attacks the guy who wasnt even in his car that he hit! It's unbelievable.
Plus, it's the perfect case for CCW. Non violent stoppage of a possible violent assault. |

Not exactly related to the incident but am I the only one that noticed the guy states he's a 100% disabled Marine BUT he drives a Corvette and his avatar shows him standing next to a sport bike - GSXR maybe?
I'm able bodied and have a hard enough time riding my VFR800 sport tourer much less getting into & out of a Corvette.... Brian |

Saw that too. Could mean that he has plates installed, fake limb, bum leg, etc. You'd be surprised what constitutes permanent injuries. I'd also bet any money that the brain aneurysm is his permanent disability. Who knows if he rides the bike or not.....poseurs are everywhere. |

When you go to WM, park in the front! Atleast then if you have to pop someone, the video might actually be useable in your self defense case. All I see here is a couple ants, in the back 40. No way to tell who shot who or whatnot. Nice job to the guy anyway, for TCB.

Same thing happened to me at a local mall 2 years ago. Some lady was speeding through the lot lost control of her 4-runner and hit the side of my car. She then had the nerve to get out and start yelling at me. Dumb bitch had a suspended license,expired registration,and a warrant. It was bitter sweet to see her truck getting impounded and her getting arrested.

That is good to hear that he stopped after you drew down on him and it didnt have to go any further. BUT if I was a member of a jury and saw the damage done to your once beautiful Corvette, as a Corvette lover, I would feel that deadly force was justified.
By the way when your car gets fixed or replaced be sure to get your windows tinted, they look SOOO much better with at least 20% tint on them. James |

What's your point? I'm 5'9"/185 and I have a hard time climbing in and out of regular cars, let alone a Corvette, due to physical limitations from old injuries. It sounds like you are trying to read into this story some ill intent on the part of the victim. You don't know anything about him (and neither do I, for that matter) beyond what he wrote in the post. I didn't read anything into his '100% disability' statement, as you have. The fact that you read that as an 'excuse' is a bit strange to me. You seem like a troll who is just looking to start a flame. |

as every person feels pain in a different way and I know for a fact that 100% disabled does not mean unable to do anything. I knew an ex air force vet with a bad back that would play paintball on a regular occassion and he didn't play soft eithor. I think that tops getting in and out of a corvette. Also, maybe he feels like the corvette is worth the hassle of getting into and out of?

Here's the line quoted from the original thread on the corvette forum: "I showed restraint. I am a 100% disabled US Marine with a brain aneurysm . no way he was going to attack me after i did nothing wrong and he was yelling racial slurs at me." Why the fact that he's "a 100% disabled US Marine with a brain aneurysm" is pertinent to the situation is beyond me. Not a troll - just don't think it has anything to do with the incident AND therefore it 'sounds' like a bit of an excuse to me. Heck, if the brain anyuersym is a big deal WTF is he doing behind the wheel of a ~3000lb deadly weapon.... I have friends that have lost their licenses due to siezures. Brian |
