Tool Lacuna Coil The Gathering The Mars Fucking Volta!  Softer Stuff: The Delgados Bjork Si*Se (Si*Se is probably the smoothest thing I have ever listened too. She is un-be-friggen-leivable) Oh and TOOLs new single is excellent. I think it applies to most teen to adult males. |

I listen to the kind of music I write - late Romantic period orchestral music. This very second I'm working on putting my symphonic poem, six years in the writing, onto the Finale notation program, and surfing Arfcom in between.
Most of today's music I can't stand, and none of it I can truly enjoy. It's just too shallow and meaningless. Give me Brahms' fouth symphony or Rimski-Korsakov's Scheherazade any day. |

I listen to a lot of jazz - big band, bebop, swing, funk, dixieland, ect.
Some of my favorite musicians/bands would be Maynard Ferguson, Louis Armstrong, Clifford Brown, Stan Kenton, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, ReBirth Brass Band, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, Tower of Power... the list goes on and on I don’t like "smooth" jazz though, and I don’t care for most country, rock, and rap. |

My playlist that gets the most usage consists of various stuff from various artists including:
Black Sabbath Metallica Godsmack Stevie Ray Vaughan Jimi Hendrix Everclear Audioslave Jet AC damn DC Joe Walsh Pearl Jam Nirvana Foo Fighters Alice in Chains Led Zeppelin Aerosmith Theory of A Deadman Staind Crossfade Silvertide Nickelback etc. I also have a pretty good collection of classical music and movie scores in another playlist. No rap or country. |
