Am I missing something here?
Shipping a very small package (handgun sized) and every price quote i'm getting on the web from UPS and Fed Ex is like $70-$80.

WTF?
Where are people shipping guns Next Day Air for the "$25" i'm seeing all over the place?

(Yes, I am fully aware that it's "company policy" and not the "law" and that I could not follow it to save the money... I'd rather play it safe as i've had a firearm stolen from a package once before and don't want to deal with that headache again)

You can mail handguns second day air a whole lot cheaper.

I sent a 9lb package to FL second day air and it cost $35.11.

Depends on where you're shipping it and how much it weighs. I think it cost S&W $49 to ship priority over night via fedex from arizona, to Ma.

I once next- day air a package from my company to Hong Kong, China on a Saturday for over $400!!! My boss never blinked an eye.

We ACMI'd out 747's at $7000.00 per hour + fuel.

Last time I sent FedEx it was $46 including 3K in insurance.

Are you a FFL? If so send it USPS Priority mail for about $15-$20 and it will get there in three days. If you are not a FFL you can't ship through the mail. Where in Illinois are you located? You can pay a dealer a small amount to ship it for you. If you are close to Springfield I can help out. IM me if you are close.
