box is fake, ammo link is clipped to protrusion on box and there is no opening in either the gun or box for ammo to feed.
Looks like an airsoft that someone carved "beltfeed bits" out of foam and glued it to the gun. |

Plastic, Ares Defense can barely get what they got to run, like some Schmoe is going to garage build him something like that, that can feed even half-way reliably is a stretch. It does look mean. Besides what kind of moron would spend the money on a set-up like that and buy a sight that says "RED DOT" on it.

If it were real, and the barrel were about 4" longer so you didn't burn your hands, I sure wouldn't mind. Especially on an M16 lower. Of course, I'd pull off that flashlight, red dot, and whatever the hell that is on the right side of the rails (what is that, anyway?).
How much is a Shrike again, if you can find them? |

That is genuine Shrike. That upper was supposed to impact the cost of class 3 (FA) lowers forevermore. The story isn't told, but even if I did own a full-auto lower, I wouldn't want a belt-fed upper FW that IW |

If you look closely, even the one on the Ares site is air5oft. It's just one of the BETTER air5oft versions... not the Real Steel.

Really? I was at the range last year letting a Brit I knew who was moving back to the UK fire some real guns (which he never had before, it was a real treat for him) when a guy showed up with one and proceeded to do some testing. He then came over to us and let us each shoot a belt of, I dunno 100? through it. It ran fine. Not even a hiccup. Is that unusual? My english friend was amazed, to say the least, that on a random day that some guy showed up with a full auto weapon that was perfectly legal, and let us shoot it. I figure it is the PERFECT thing for him to go tell his pals back in the UK!
