Went out to investigate and spotted this:



Prolly about 5 - 10 small birds going crazy and a couple of Mocking birds kept landing on it
but it seemed un-concerned.

Owls rule. I've seen a few here in AZ, but they are definetely a rare sight.

When we would go camping when I was a kid my father used to call owls up from the woods up to the treeline.  He can sound just like a barred owl.  One time we had 4 different owls in the treeline.  You could tell from the different directions and some had high pitches than others.
