The ability to kill has been studied and documented very well in "On Killing" and "On Combat".

I highly recommned both books for anyone in the military or law enforcement.

For what would you thank a pacifist?

Normaly I can see at least both sides viewpoint but I cant answer this in ernest. I think there must be one thing I could " thank a pacifist?" for.

Damn cant think of one ..........

Ok .. When a pacifist dies at the hands of the very people they so strongly believed that a peacful solution could be worked out with. Thier death convices me that some people cant not be dealt with on peaceful terms. I can thank those pacifits.

Yea, I'm a killer, so? Who else do you want in the infantry? Friggin dipshits. I would absolutely LOVE to place these dimwits in an alternate universe where the US completely dismantles the military. How long would we be free after that?

Pardon me? Why do we (btw, who is we?) need to respect the brainwashed troops for killing innocent men, women, children and babies? They have done NOTHING to us.

didn't the German people in 1938 support their troops as they were Anschlussing mit Austria, then as they expanded their Leibensraum into Czechoslovakia, then, in 1939, as the Wehrmact defended themselves against the Polish invasion?

Most of our civil rights were won in a court room, after all.

I do appreciate our Revolutionary War and WWII vets, but that's about it as far as actual war goes. I also appreciate the willingness to die, but sadly, most of the deaths were completely unnecessary.

I didn't like those books. I think his premise is flawed and he has a political axe to grind.
