This just came up again the other day here.
I have a set on my SBR, I like them...really smoothed the trigger out. Danny

most of the guys with NFA lowers, especially machine gun lowers, use these pins, but I dont think they're worth it for a regular AR. Just my opinion, and worth what you paid for it.

Installed them on my full-auto lower on the recommendation of someone that owns a ton of full-auto stuff.

NFA, maybe a must have, when you have that much money tied up in a weapon, the extra few dollars for the pins, would be worth it, just in case. Otherwise, when shooting semi, it's just a cool factor add on, and not a must have

regular AR pins move around, rotate and such. this can cause the pin holes to wear and eventually cause damage to the lower. these pins do not move, and therefore do not cause any damage to the lower. that's why guys with REALLY valuable lowers use them for obvious reasons. |

That's my opinion too, never having seen a semi lower with wallow at the pins. |

Except, most people will never put enough rounds downrange through a semi-auto AR to wear the pins out. Even if you did, you just go buy a new lower, and you are out about $100. However, with an NFA lower - the ones we got is all there is. You wear out a registered reciever and you can't get a new one. Then you'll cry the blues cause your ass is out $15,000. |

For as cheap as they are it can't hurt. I put a pair of KNS pins on my semi-lower with my Chip McCormick trigger. Of course I didn't have to pay for them. My wife bought the trigger and pins for me.

+1 on the F/A lowers as a must-have.
Won't hurt on your semi-lowers either, but i have all factory parts in mine, FWIW. |

I have a set in my Mega lower. Some pins are slightly off from mil-spec and tend to walk. Especially if you install a old set in a new lower. WOrth the insurance and easy to install.

I plan on adding a set to my varmint/target build for looks. I wouldn't put them on any of my other ARs, even though I shoot them more often.
