Whew...I finally signed up for DSL service today....though it isn't cable or a T1 system from work it's a HELL of a lot faster than 50.2k!

I can't wait to get started!!!!

Oh, I know, I have a T1 system at work and man, lemme tell ya....

I know it won't be supa-fast but it'll be a hell of a lot better than this.

I must admit my new system is hella smooth, though....it really helps!!!

I have Cox HSI and it smokes the T1 connection I have at work. DSL is not quite Cox HSI, but it's still decent and makes dial up seem like walking vs. driving a car.

Damn skippy!!! It helps that I have a new, clean system, too. 2.8 gig chip and around half a gig or so of ram.....really speeds things up. I am thinking of tossing in some more RAM for fun.

I was down at my parents beach house last weekend using the old pentium III pizza box with dial up to check my email, I think I was getting a 41k connection. It's funny that used to seem perfectly normal.

Hm. I remember my 486 dx2, think it was 40mhz or so. Had a 14.4 modem but nobody went that fast. Connected at 2400bps usually. And ANSI was awesome because we had colored text and "graphics".

the thing that keeps messing me up is that now I can click on all of those awesome NASA links and such that I couldn't before....hell, I wouldn't even bother with simple MSN links because they took for friggin' ever to load....a lot of that had to do with my multiple firewalls that were conflicting, too....I have a much smoother setup that works together instead of pulling each and every way....

I still have to convince myself that I click on links now, that I could not click on before....it's cool!!!!
